Bollywood actor and ardent biker John Abraham has come forward in support of MiD DAY's Meter Down campaign against errant auto rickshaws in the city. In the last 10 days, team MiD DAY along with the Mumbai Traffic Police has caught over 100 rickshaw drivers for refusing passengers.
"If it (the campaign) helps the citizens, then let's go for it," said John Abraham. "I am driven by MiD DAY's Meter Down initiative and I support it to make Mumbai a better place to live in."
Mumbaikars have appreciated the Meter Down campaign and have showered accolades on the traffic police and the MiD DAY team for pulling up arrogant auto drivers and ensuring that the errant driver are penalised.
"I am the force behind every Mumbaikar. You as a Mumbaikar can power me through this journey by reporting against unwarranted actions and faulty meters. Together, let's drive the change," John adds.
