An MP and an MLA from the Shiv Sena were issued notices for influencing voters at a polling booth in Kalyan, a scuffle broke out between Sena and BJP workers in Dombivli

Polling began at 7 am and concluded by 5.30 pm. A total of 47 per cent voters from Kalyan-Dombivli region registered their votes. The counting will start at 10.30 am today.
Untoward incidents
A Shiv Sena MP and an MLA were issued notices by the Election Code of Conduct chief for KDMC polls trying to influence voters outside a polling booth in Kalyan. "Both - MP Arvind Sawant and MLA Balaji Kenikar - were influencing voters.
We immediately took them away from the spot and issued them notices. Barring few minor incidents, voting was conducted in a peaceful manner," said ECC chief Jamir Lengarekar.
An incident of bogus voting was reported at Kalyan's Khadakpada. Two bogus voters were taken into custody from a polling booth in ward no 23. In addition, a scuffle broke out between BJP and Shiv Sena party workers at Patharli in Dombivli (East).
