Angered by the treatment meted out to Mahahrashtra by Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav in the Railway Budget, activists from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) had put up a hoarding in protest at the station road in Bandra (E) on Monday.

MNS executive member Akhil Chitre said that the poster was in protest of the lukewarm treatment meted out to Maharashtra in the minister's interim railway budget.

"Yadav announced that the railways made a whopping profit, but he failed to recognise that most of it is due to contributions from the Maharashtra and Mumbai sector. The only train started for the state is from Patna to Pune, which shows his clear bias towards his state."
The banner that was erected on the station road in Bandra East at 11pm on Monday night was pulled down at noon on Tuesday.
