Rhitik Kapoor (10), a resident of Thane was in shock and is still unaware that his father with whom he was travelling with yesterday died on his way to the hospital. The duo had left their home at Thane and were headed to Musafir Khana when Sameer Kapoor, Rhitik's father complained of chest pains that eventually led to his death.
Recounting the incident, Rhitik said, "We were reaching Chinchpokli when dad complained of chest pains and even vomited. We went to a clinic nearby and asked the doctor to treat him." However, the doctor at the clinic asked the two of them to rush to KEM Hospital, deeming Sameer's condition to be critical. When Sameer and Rhitik, accompanied by two good Samaritans reached KEM Hospital, medical staff said that Sameer was dead.
KEM hospital's casualty officer Dr Kore said, "He was brought dead to the hospital." However, Rhitik is yet unaware about his father demise. "I think he is suffering from some acidity. He is with the doctor and will be fine," he said. Sameer is survived by his wife Shalini, Rhitik and his sister Simran.
