The Mumbai police's Social Service branch arrested 27 people and rescued 24 bar girls


The Social Service (SS) branch of Mumbai police raided a bar and restaurant in Mulund on Friday night, arresting 27 people and rescuing 24 bar girls. The police officials acted on a tip off about few bar girls acting indecently with customers. The raid was conducted after a police official posed as a customer and entered the Sakhi arch bar and restaurant on LBS Road.

The SS branch under the supervision of ACP Firoze Patel arrested the manager, the cashier, 13 waiters and customers from the bar. The bargirls were produced in the magistrate court and were granted bail.

After the raid the case was handed over to the Mulund police station. The cops are further investigating the case.
