The woman's jewellery was returned within 10 hours
A woman's three diamond rings and a bracelet, total worth around Rs 15 lakh, which went missing in Zaveri Bazaar were found by Pydhonie Police recently.
The woman, Jinal Panchamia, 33, is an advocate and a resident of Ghatkopar. On November 26, Panchamia went to Zaveri Bazaar to get the bracelet repaired. When she came out of her car, she dropped the jewellery on the street and didn't realize it as she was on a phone call.

When she came to know about the missing jewellery, Panchamia started searching, but in vain. She then approached Pydhonie Police.

Assistant Police Inspector (API) Ratna Khandelwal was on duty and she took information from Panchamia about the jewellery and where it fell. Then Khandelwal and API Nilesh Bankar checked the CCTV footage of the area and spotted a man picking up the jewels. Pydhonie Police then traced the person and returned the jewellery within 10 hours. They didn't register any FIR in the case.

Jinal Panchamia told mid- day, "My jewelery was lost on November 26 around 5.30pm, after which I went to Pydhuni police station around 6.30 pm. The police took complete information from me and called around 3am to tell the jewellery has been found. These jewels were given to me by my mother-in-law and mother and are really valuable."
Mumbai Police spokesperson DCP Chaitanya said, "We immediately started an investigation, found the woman's lost jewelry and returned it."
