One-and-a-half-year-old boy goes missing from Cheeta Camp; the child's family realised son is missing early next morning; mother of victim admitted to hospital
A case has been registered with the Trombay police station after a one-and-a-half-year-old boy was allegedly kidnapped from his residence at Cheeta Camp in the wee hours of Saturday. The victim's father, Shamz Parvez, rushed to the police station when he found his younger son Abdulla missing.

Senior police inspector Ansar Pirjade from Trombay police station said, "According to the child's father, the family of four, which included him and his wife, 10-year-old son Umar, and Abdulla, were asleep at home on Friday night. An unidentified person allegedly sneaked in and took their youngest child away."
Investigations on In the statement, Parvez said that his cell phone was missing too. The family lives in a shanty whose mezzanine floor they had rented out to another family.
On March 1, Parvez had an altercation with the tenants over rent. A report had been lodged at the police station. "We are questioning the other family that resides there," added Pirjade. The child's mother who lost consciousness since the disappearance of her child has been admitted to Shatabdi Hospital. "We will also question both the parents," said Pirjade. A case has been registered under Section 363 (kidnapping) of the Indian Penal Code.
