A 32-year-old man apparently attempted suicide by shooting himself in his chest with his father's licensed revolver. According to a report by Times of India, Vijayjeet Bahadur Singh, a resident of Dadar's Shri Sai Complex was alone in the room when he decided to take the step.
After hearing the gunshot his parents, who were in the other room rushed in and found him bleeding profusely. He is currently in the ICU at Bandra's Leelavati Hospital.
He was a site supervisor until a few years ago and was unemployed, suffering from depression, said Dadar Police sources. Singh won't be booked for attempted suicide since it has been decriminalised.
