A 26-year-old's robber's declaration of love for his girlfriend, inked on his arm, landed him behind bars last night in a theft case. Fifteen days ago, Anand Nadar, 26, a resident of Antop Hill, had stolen a laptop, mobile phone and Rs 10,000 from the Jain Society hostel in Sion. The hostel authorities filed a complaint about the theft with the Sion police and the cops found CCTV footage in which Nadar was clearly visible, including the name âShilpa' tattooed on his right forearm.
They first looked for him at Dharavi and later at Antop Hill. Last night, assistant police inspector, Sion police station, Santosh Gaikwad, finally found Nadar at Antop Hill, recognising him from the tattoo emblazoned on his arm, and arrested him.

On being questioned, Nadar confessed to the crime and also to other thefts. Nadar has many cases registered against them at Matunga and Sion police stations. According to the police, he carefully plans his activities and prefers high-end residential areas.
