Mumbai reports high risk of ovarian cancer

A two-year long study conducted by Metropolis Healthcare lab revealed that 30% of women in Mumbai are at a higher risk of ovarian cancer


A two-year long study conducted by Metropolis Healthcare lab revealed that 30% of women in Mumbai are at a higher risk of ovarian cancer.

Out of the 3541 women evaluated for a test called Cancer Antigen-125, 30 per cent tested positive.

Most women evaluated were between ages 20 and 90.

Out of this, 70 per cent fell in the age group of 20-40 years. Mumbai had the second highest percentage of women who were detected as having a higher risk of being diagnosed with the cancer.

Delhi led the test results, with 31% women testing positive.
