Transport Commissioner Deepak Kapoor's inbox has been inundated with e-mails after MiD DAY published a report 'E-mail RTO, get prompt reply for all queries' on Monday. "There has been a flurry of e-mails after the report was published.
We will respond to every mail," said Kapoor, who has received over 200 e-mails including complaints about city roads, functioning of the RTO as well as those of appreciation. Jitendra Patil, deputy RTO, Tardeo, said, "I have replied to over 108 e-mails so far.
The others will be answered later since they are related to policy decisions." Avinash Nigudkar who works with an American publishing group as a journalist said, "I was surprised to get a reply within 24 hours. We don't get such prompt replies even in the US."
Avinash had complained about a non-functional links on the RTO website. They haveu00a0 also received a mail and a call from an NRI in New Zealand.
