Those who have failed in lower standards, but still want to pursue a degree course in Arts or Commerce, here's your chance. Mumbai University's (MU) Institute for Distance Education (IDE) will soon introduce a course, Bachelor of Preparatory that will provide students to pursue higher admission.

This course, admission to which can be secured after clearing an entrance test, is approved by the University Grants Commission and will be introduced in the next academic year.u00a0 However, only students aged 18 and above are eligible for this course.

Dhaneswar Harichandan, director, IDE, said, "We are expecting a good response to this course, the first of its kind started by MU."

Satish Thakur (name changed), said, "I have failed my SSC exams and would definitely opt for this course."
