On Monday morning, Nusli Wadia, the chairman of Wadia Group, arrived at the sessions court in Mumbai, to depose as a witness in a 25-year-old case of a murder attempt on him, in which Kirti Ambani, a senior executive at Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) is the prime accused.

However, one of the CBI prosecutors informed the court that public prosecutor appointed in case has been changed, and also sought for adjournment. The next date for hearing is in the case is September 2. On that day, the court will fix a date for deposition of the witnesses. The court also said that Wadia need not have to be present on September 2.
In 2003, a sessions judge charged Kirti Ambani, Arjun Babaria, Ivan Sequeira and Ramesh Jagothia for criminally conspiring in 1988-89 to murder Nusli Wadia.
