One dead as overhead cable snaps near Santacruz stn

Local train services at western railway got delayed after the overhead electrical wire and the pantograph got damaged while the train was on its way from Borivli to Churchgate.

The train halted just before Santacruz station where the incident took place.u00a0 A few commuters jumped from the running train, resulting in the death of one and five others were injured.

"We are investigating as to what had happened at the spot. The other trains were diverted which was delayed by 20 minutes," said S S Gupta CPRO of WR.
