One person was killed and four others injured on Monday when an overhead wire snapped on the Western Railways near Santacruz station, railway officials said.
The overhead electric wire snapped near the Santacruz railway station around 11.40 am on the fast train track for south bound trains, Government Railway Police (GRP) officials said.

Services on the fast track of the Western Railways was disrupted and efforts were still on to restore services on the line, they said. South bound fast train services were diverted on the slow track while efforts were made to restore services.
