One pedestrian was crushed to death while another injured by an unidentified vehicle near here on Saturday, police said.
The mishap occurred on Sion-Vashi Road at Mankhurd in eastern suburbs.
The deceased, Tanaji Chalke (20), along with one Ananda Kalje (34), was walking towards Mankhurd railway station when a speeding vehicle hit them from behind near a flyover bridge, they said.
"Chalke and Kalje were immediately rushed to Sion Hospital. Chalke succumbed to injuries while Kalje is recuperating in the hospital," police said.

The police have registered a hit-and-run case. Further investigation was on.
