Three gangsters who planned to kill singer Udit Narayan were nabbed by the by the Lucknow Special Task Force in UP on Saturday.
The three men identified as Ranjit alias Pappu, Nisad Chaudhary and Indradev of Pujari gang were
members of alleged gangster Hemant Pujari.
Nisad, the Lucknow officials said, was active in Mumbai.
The UP Special Task Force team arrested the gangsters following an encounter in Charbagh area on Saturday night, when they were about to board a Mumbai bound train.

Police recovered a 32 bore US made pistol, two country-made fire-arm, cartridges, four mobile phones and two SIM cards from them.
According to the police, Ranjit told the STF sleuths that the gang members were also watching movements of famous playback singer Udit Narayan and planned to kill him on the directives of gang leader Pujari, the sources claimed.
During the interrogation, they revealed that they were involved in several criminal activities for Pujari,includingu00a0 the murder of Suresh Shetty in Bandra, two and half years back.
They had also killed a Jagir builder in Mira Road in March 2008 and were involved in a shoot out at a hotel in Bhayander last year.
