According to the charge sheet filed in the September 29 Malegaon blast case, Lt Col Shrikant Purohit was planning to launch guerilla warfare against jehadis in the country.


According to the charge sheet filed in the September 29 Malegaon blast case, Lt Col Shrikant Purohit was planning to launch guerilla warfare against jehadis in the country.

The charge sheet states that in a meeting held in Faridabad on January 26, 2008, Purohit along with the other accused, was chalking plans and strategies to launch the attack.

In the meeting Purohit said that the number of terrorist activities were on the rise in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Malegaon and Aurangabad.

Purohit said, "We will not take such atrocities lightly and conduct a major operation against them in Maharashtra."

The charge sheet also states that the accused had made certain groups that were to be part of the organisation and operate at various places in the country. They were told to mingle with the masses and indoctrinate them to fight for a Hindu Rashtra. Their plans were to attack areas populated by minorities.
