Aseemanand backed Malegaon blast accused's revelation that Indresh Kumar is an ISI agent
The arrest of Swami Aseemanand and his 42-page confession statement has dubbed RSS leader Indresh Kumar as a Pakistani Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) agent. It also points to differences within the sangh parivar.
Aseemanand's views were earlier endorsed by Malegaon blast accused Lt Col Shrikant Purohit.

Purohit had stumbled upon Kumar's role as an ISI agent while he was attached to the Military Intelligence (MI) prior to his arrest by the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) in November, 2008.
In the statement, Aseemanand told the Magistrate that he remembers Sunil Joshi telling him that Kumar had provided him with two Muslim bombers to plant the explosives in Ajmer.
Aseemanand feared for Joshi's life, as he felt those two men could kill him. Later, he shared his fears with Purohit when he also agreed that Kumar could have been an ISI agent.
Malegaon blast
Mumbai ATS had arrested Purohit in the 2008 Malegaon bombings, as he had allegedly provided the explosives for the blast.
After his arrest, he did not provide many details to the police, but informed them about Kumar's role.
According to the investigators, Purohit had told them that Kumar was an ISI agent and he should be kept under surveillance.
Investigators believe that Kumar must be getting funds from the ISI.
According to the police, the Hindu radicals who have been arrested have named Kumar, but he was never a part of any of the meetings or was in anyway directly involved in the blast conspiracies.

It was Joshi who was in touch with him and used to provide him with details, but Joshi was killed later.
The CBI has questioned Kumar and even the National Investigation Agency has been keeping a watch on him.
