CR, WR increase strength of police officers at stations by 15% for today and tomorrow to control large crowds, as people are expected to take shelter during the rains
Following intelligence reports of a terror threat to Mumbai and the likelihood of panic among commuters during high-tide days, the railway police have increased security at all stations.
A K Sharma, GRP commissioner, said, "We have increased our strength by 15 per cent till July 25 as a precautionary measure.
Thorough: Security officers have been asked to carry out checks at all entry and exit points at railway stations. |
