New Delhi: Observing that the situation in the Valley was "normalizing", Home Minister Rajnath Singh singled out Pakistan yesterday for fomenting trouble there, saying it had played a "key role" in fuelling tension and that terrorism in India was sponsored by it.

Referring to the ‘black day' observed by Pakistan, he said the country was interfering in India's internal matters to deflect attention from its failures. "If there is terrorism in India, then it is Pakistan-sponsored," he said.

Rajnath added Pakistan came into being in the name of religion but failed to keep Muslims together and underwent a division. "It does not need to worry about Muslims in India," he said.
