Debate between the two sides on whether the festival should have commercial activities rages on

On Saturday, the petitioner, intervener and all stakeholders met to discuss the debate on the Kala Ghoda festival at the Collector's office after the Bombay High Court on Thursday asked both parties to come up with an amicable solution. The two-hour-long meeting, however, yielded no results as both parties refused to budge from their views.

The two parties debated whether commercial activities should take place at the festival but failed to come to a consensus. The Collector will file the minutes of the meeting in the court on Monday.
Berges Malu, the petitioner of this case, said, "I'm not against the festival per se. All that I ask is for it to remain an arts festival, not a commercial activity, but the organisers do not agree on this key issue, among others, so it is now up to the court to decide."
City Collector, Shaila A, said, "The Court had ordered the parties to conduct a meeting where all the stakeholders could be present and have their say in the case along with the petitioner, intervener and respondents. The minutes of the meeting will be presented to the Court on Monday and the points discussed in the meeting will be revealed."
