A slice of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding cake is set to be auctioned next week.
Auctioneers Mellors and Kirk are expecting the slice of fruit cake to fetch between 50 pounds and 150 pounds when it goes up for sale on this Wednesday, April 9.
It is being sold on behalf of Adrian Richardson, a former employee of Crown Speciality Packaging in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire.
The 59-year-old was one of a small number of employees of the firm who were sent a piece of the royal wedding cake to thank them for their work on a specially commissioned presentation tin.
He received the piece of cake in one of the tins he helped to design, with a personal thank you note from the Prince of Wales.
Nigel Kirk, director of Mellors and Kirk Auctioneers in Nottingham, said he is interested in seeing if bids come in from outside the UK.
