Meanwhile, the Mumbai police are leaving no stone unturned in tracing Karnit Shah, the 6-year-old who went missing on April 6 from his Kandivli residence. MiD DAY had reported about the incident yesterday ('Missing boy's father turns to Facebook', April 15).
Cops have begun their manhunt and are searching every corner of the city between Goregaon and Dahisar, including all residential societies and households, combing the streets, with the child's photograph, which they have circulated to all police stations across the country.

Anand Shah, Karnit's father, said, "On April 6, Karnit and his sister, Yuti (10), had gone down to the building compound to play cricket with their friends. After he got out, Karnit got upset and sat out of the game. Later, when Yuti returned home, Karnit was nowhere to be found. His worried mother went to look for him.
"At 8.15 pm, I came home from work and also began looking for him, thinking that he must have sneaked outside the building gate," said Shah. When Karnit couldn't be found, his parents filed a missing person's complaint with the Kandivli police station.
According to investigators, a team of officers including women personnel knock on every door of every house in the region to look for the boy. "We are visiting every shanty and chawl, scouring all building premises and knocking on all doors to find Karnit," said an investigating officer.
Hareshar Pimple, senior police inspector of Kandivli police station, said, "We are trying our best. Our team is visiting every place to find the boy. We have sent his picture to police stations across the country. Our teams have visited several places out of the city."
Earlier, a team of 40 police officers from eight police stations in Zone XI were put together to trace Karnit after he went missing. Cops had then suspected a 20-year-old man who goes by the name of Sunny of kidnapping him.
He was present inside the building on the day Karnit went missing. But the parents have not received any ransom call.
Sunny does not stay in the building but since a fortnight before the incident, he had started u00a0coming to the building to u00a0distribute sweets and cricket balls to children, who called him 'Chocolate Uncle'.
Police have made his sketches with the help of descriptions by kids, but haven't traced him yet.
