Amid various elections SOPs that are likely to cause a dent in the state's pocket once fulfilled, Shiv Sena has promised that Rs 10,000 will be given to economically weaker farmers annually. The Sena has also ensured that the rates of the fertilisers and other related items will remain the same. However, when the Aarey issue was raised as it had not found a mention, Uddhav Thackeray said that the regional manifesto will see an Aarey mention.
The manifesto focused on varied topics from women's empowerment to youth welfare. Apart from offering various freebies such as reduction in electricity bills up to 30 per cent, and 2,500 dedicated buses at Taluka level for all students, free education for all girls from economically weak families was also offered. The party has also promised to offer 15 lakh apprenticeships for graduate youths as Sarkar Fellows.
