Ugar Sugar Works (USW) has launched Filmi Shakkar, an alternative to traditional sugar cubes. These sugar ships float on the beverage for 15 seconds and add a playful element to it.
The flavours include rose, hazelnut, vanilla, cardamom and rum. They also come in different colours and can be used as edible decorations or candies. The product has been successfully launched in Europe.
Niraj Shirgaonkar, VP, USW, said, "We wanted to make tea, coffee and mocktails sweeter and more playful. So, we thought of a shape that would float on the surface."
