Swami Aseemanand files confession or revenge?

Sources reveal that Aseemanand is trying to implicate Indresh Kumar over ideological differences

Swami Aseemanand voluntarily gave his confession before a magistrate, knowing very well that he was signing his own death sentence.

However, in the process, Aseemanand has ensured that he has dragged RSS leader Indresh Kumar with him down in the mess.

Aseemanand in his confession has owned up to the Samjhauta Express blast, Mecca-Masjid blast, Malegaon blasts (2006 and 2008) and the Ajmer Dargah blast.

However, he has only owned up to having offered his financial support to the conspiracy. He claims that he was not aware of the details of blasts, nor was he aware of the group that was assigned to execute each blast.

He pointed the finger at Indresh, who according to Aseemanand, knew all the details of the blasts.

He adds that Indresh had entrusted the jobs to Sunil Joshi. Joshi coordinated all the jobs, recruited the teams and arranged for the explosives.

In fact, Aseemanand claimed it was Joshi who told him that Indresh provided the two boys who planted the bombs in Ajmer.

He added that another accused in the 2008 Malegaon blasts, Col Shrikant Purohit had told him that Indresh was an ISI agent.

According to police sources, Aseemanand had a bone to pick with Indresh, and has therefore dragged his name as well.

He has voluntarily confessed to several blasts across the country and named Hindu radicals like Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Sandeep Dange, Sunil Joshi, Raamjee, Indresh Kumar and others in the entire conspiracy.

Following his confession, the police, CBI and NIA are hunting for more radicals who have been named by Aseemanand.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan met families of those imprisoned for involvement in the 2006 Malegaon blasts and assured them all legal assistance. Chavan told the delegation he was seeking legal opinion and the state would look at the best remedy to ensure innocent were not being punished in the case.
