Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Saturday attacked Maharashtra Industries Minister Narayan Rane for accusing the Shiv Sena of being approached by 11 corporate houses with an offer of Rs 500 crore to scuttle the Jaitapur nuclear power project in Ratnagiri district.

"Was Rane counting the money that the Sena was offered Rs 500 crore to oppose the Jaitapur power plant?" Thackeray said, making a jibe in an editorial piece in the party mouthpiece, Saamna.
