Shiv Sena supremo Bal Thackeray was shifted from the ICU ward to the VVIP room on the 11th floor of Lilavati Hospital at Bandra on Sunday.

Get Well Soon: Thackeray's doctor says he is likely to be discharged on Wednesday.

Neelam Gore, spokesperson, Shiv Sena, confirmed this and said, "Saheb is recovering well. However, the date of his discharge has not been finalised."

Thackeray's doctor Jalil Parkar said it was likely that he would be discharged on Tuesday or Wednesday.

"His condition has greatly improved. We are keeping him here to observe his condition before we send him home," said Parkar.

The octogenarian was
admitted to the hospital last week after he complained of breathlessness.
