In what is hopefuly a strange coincidence but authorities suspect are acts of mischief-mongers, three bogies of three different trains caught fire at Mumbai's Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus on Wednesday


In what is hopefuly a strange coincidence but authorities suspect are acts of mischief-mongers, three bogies of three different trains caught fire at Mumbai's Chattrapati Shivaji Terminus on Wednesday.

The first incident took place in 2nd Class Chair Car bogie (second from rear end - Mumbai end) of 12123 Mumbai-Pune Deccan Queen at 5.03 pm. The authorites immediately switched off the OHE and fire tenders rushed to the spot.

Then smoke was seen emanating from the S-5 coach of 11023 Mumbai-Kolhapur Sahyadhri Express on Platform No.9 at 5.43 pm. The third incident involved the 12809 Mumbai-Howrah Mail via Nagpur train on Platform No.15 at 6.10 pm.

None of the passengers were injured.

The affected coaches of the respective trains were detached for investigation.
