A nine-year-old and a six-year-old died, and two were injured while playing on a marble swing when their parents were attending a satsang function
Two cousins died after a 500 kg marble swing crushed them on Saturday evening. Nishiket Adhiya (9) and Karsh Adhiya (6) were playing on the swing when it suddenly fell on them.

According to police officials, a spiritual gathering (satsang) was being held at Raj row house in Mahavir Nagar, Kandivli (W) and several family members were invited. The kids, along with their parents had come to attend the function. Piyush Adhiya, Nishiket's father said, "While we were busy in the function, the kids were playing in the garden area."

Around 8 pm, there were four kids playing, when the swing suddenly fell, crushing the two kids under it. Amit Adhiya, Karsh's father said, "We heard a loud sound and went to see what happened. My son and Nishiket were under the marble debris."
Both the kids were rushed to Karuna Hospital in Borivli, but were declared dead during treatment. The other two kids were injured, but stable and are currently recuperating in the hospital. Hareshwar Pimple, senior inspector of Kandivli police station said, "We have registered a case of accidental death and will decide whether a case of negligence should be filed after further investigations."
