Taking potshots at the 'good' treatment accorded to 26/11 Mumbai terror attack accused Ajmal Qasab, Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray said police and government were taking 'good care' of him.
"Kasab is being looked after by police and government very well. In fact, so well that if his mother comes to meet him, Qasab will tell her that he was being looked after very well," Uddhav said, addressing an election rally at Shirdi in Ahmednagar district.
"Qasab will tell his mother: why have you come to meet me? There was no need. I am being looked after nicely. The Indian Government is taking such good care of me that even you could not have done better," Uddhav said sarcastically.
The Sena has been demanding that Qasab be hanged near the Gateway of India for his role in the 26/11 attacks.
