Despite repeated attempts, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) Rakesh Maria remained unavailable for comment.

The needle of suspicion, now, points to members of the Mohammed Irfan Khan gang that operate as the Chindi gang in the city.

Khan was killed by members of the Dawood gang on April 17.

Khan's younger brother Arshad had named Chhote Mian as one of the killers involved in his siblings murder and the Chindi group had vowed to exact revenge for their mentor's murder.
