A 32-year-old cameraman, who was sent to Thane Civil Hospital to videograph the bodies of the victims of the brutal murders that occured in Thane on early Sunday morning passed away.
Ratan Radheshyam Bhoumik was a stinger cameraman for a leading TV news channel for the past 15 years. He was also employed as a reporter for another news channel.
Bhoumik, a resident of Wagle Estate in Thane was assigned to videograph the bodies of the victims at the Thane Civil Hospital. He reached at around 8:30 am and immediately began experiencing chest pains. He called a colleague named Vikrant, who advised him to get himself admitted at the medical facility.
Ratan was later put on life support and died with half an hour after getting admitted. It was later discovered that he underwent angioplasty 15 months ago. He is survived by a family comprising of his father, mother and two brothers, one of whom is mentally disabled. The deceased was the sole breadwinner of his family.
