Businessman to throw theme party and address south Mumbai invitees
Businessman to throw theme party and address south Mumbai inviteesBusinessman Viren Shah likes to be in the spotlight and attract attention. His latest is a theme party today to canvass for Congress candidate Milind Deora among the south Mumbai crowd.
While candidates use various methods to garner support, Shah's planning something different: he has organised a theme party for a select group of professionals and traders at a lawn in Worli.

Shah will host the party dressed up like Varun Gandhi in an attire similar to what Varun wore on the day he made the 'hate speech'. Shah may even address his invitees.
"The idea is to get people from south Mumbai to vote and to explain the importance of voting and voting for the right candidate. Only 16 per cent of south Mumbai residents come out and vote. If they choose to come and vote for somebody who has stood for elections just because 26/11 happened, they will be depriving the city of a good candidate like Deora," Shah added.u00a0u00a0u00a0u00a0
A range of professionals has been invited to the party. Doctors, traders, businessman and Page 3 crowds from South Mumbai are expected to attend.
The party will also showcase Mumbai life and offer roadside snacks like channa chor garam, nariyal paani, gola, bhel puri, paani puri, chaats, vada pav and kulfi.
"Stalls of these snack items will be showcased on the lawns against a back drop of the Mumbai Chowpatty, the Mumbai skyline, BEST, CST, Flora Fountain, Taj, Queen's Necklace, dabbawalas, trains and buses in the form of images. The dabbawala will have an election menu, which will have the message 'please vote on April 30'. Other stalls will carry messages too," said Shah.
