While JNU leader Kanhaiya Kumar's speech in Mumbai on Saturday is happening for sure, there is yet uncertainty over the venue for the programme. The Worli school, which was finalised as a venue for the event, has been denied permission at the last moment. A new venue has now been finalised, but organisers are preferring to keep it a secret to avoid further controversy.

On Thursday, mid-day reported how organisers of the program titled âStudent-assembly against discrimination' have been struggling to get a venue in the city. After over a week's struggle, they had managed to finalise a school in Worli's Koliwada area. According to the organisers, they are unable to hold the event at a prominent location in Mumbai following denial of permission by several big halls and auditoriums. Even as posters are being printed and a great publicity campaign is being conducted, the venue has had to be changed at the last moment.
Shambuk Sankalpana Uday, Vice president of the All India Students Federation (AISF), confirmed to mid-day, "The venue has been changed from the Worli school as the local police has denied us permission to conduct the programme there. Organisers are not sharing information about the new venue owing to security reasons. A media conference will be organised on Friday, where details regarding the venue will be disclosed.
