32-year-old from Manipur was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Sector 34 in Kharghar. Police have registered a case of accidental death; deceased's boyfriend has been called in for questioning
A 32-year-old woman was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Sector 34 in Kharghar. The deceased, identified as Niang Vung Hangzo, is from Manipur. She had gone for a party at a friend's house on Thursday night.

The deceased might have fallen to death from the third floor of this building
According to police officials, there were around 6-7 people in the party and Hangzo had locked herself inside a room by mistake. Later, when the door was opened, they could not find Niang inside the room. When they checked, Niang's body was found lying in a pool of blood on the ground of the building's compound.

The incident took place at around 12.30 am. "As soon as she was found dead, all the other people present at the party fled. However, a Nigerian who is believed to be her boyfriend, was present at the spot," said a police official from Kharghar police station.
The group was partying till late night and police officers recovered liquor bottles from the flat on the third floor. Niang had shifted with her boyfriend (identified as Uche) to Koparkhairane a month ago from Ahmedabad.
"She was very sweet and I knew her since her childhood. She was not under any stress. We feel that she may have accidentally fallen from the balcony," said Paul Naulak, a relative of the deceased.

"They were all drunk and it is still not clear as to what made the woman fall from the balcony of the building. We have called in two people for questioning, her boyfriend Uche and the flat owner Dong. A case of accidental death has been registered," said Senior PI Dilip Kale from Kharghar police station.
He further revealed that no case has been registered against her boyfriend and other people yet. "The preliminary post-mortem report has mentioned death due to external injuries on the head and other body parts," Kale added. Her body will be handed over to the family today and her last rites would be performed at her hometown in Bungmual, Churachandpur, in Manipur, her relatives revealed.
