Woman slits her rapist's throat at BKC

A 23-year-old housewife allegedly kills her relative as he was getting dressed after raping her in the wee hours of Friday.

According to Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) Police, the victim Rubina Sheikh (name changed) a resident of Bharat Nagar, BKC, opened a midnight knock on their door. She was surprised to see her relative Feroz Yusuf Ansari (30), who inquired if her husband Salim (name changed) was at home. When she replied in affirmative stating he was fast asleep and asked him if she had to wake him up.

On learning this, Feroz removed the knife he was carrying and threatened Rubina of dire consequences if she did not step out of the house with him.

Feroz dragged Rubina holding her hair and took her to a near-by isolated room in the vicinity and allegedly forced on her.

Preliminary revelation made by Rubina to police mentions that after raping when the accused was wearing his trouser, she lifted the knife from the floor and slit Feroz's throat. She immediately rushed home and narrated the entire incident to her husband, who was surprised to spot her.

He in turn called the police and Rubina was taken into custody.

Zonal DCP, Brijesh Kumar Singh confirmed the incident stating that Rubina was sent for a medical examination and possibility of a rape cannot be ruled out.

Police inquiries have revealed Feroz was running a carrom club in the area. Though police have registered a case of Section 302 of IPC, they are yet to decide, the charges, including rape, to be levied against the deceased.

Rubina will be produced before the metropolitan court today afternoon.
