Oman's top businessman and Managing Director of Al Turki Enterprises, Gulabsi Ratansi Khimji passed away on Wednesday at his Malabar Hill residence due to cardiac arrest. The 84-year-old business tycoon breathed his last at 4am.
Khimji was the grandfather of Radhika Merchant, Anant Ambani's partner. Following his death, the Ambani family that was in Jamnagar for their grandson Prithvi's birthday celebrations, rushed to Mumbai to pay their last respects.
The funeral of Khimji is slated to take place at 4 pm at Namdar Shri Jagannath Sunkersett Samshan Bhumi, Malabar Hill.
The Khimji family holds a special status from Oman's royal family.

Gulabsi Ratansi Khimji started his business in Muscat from scratch and became top businessman of Oman. He has left behind a son, two daughters, four grand kids and his wife Devyani Khimji.
Radhika is said to have a special bond with him.
