The Mumbai Police on Saturday issued a 'no parking' order around Juhu area of Mumbai ahead of the Chhath Puja on Sunday. The police said that lakhs of people are expected to visit Juhu area for Chhath Puja on October 30.
An order issued by Nitin Pawar, deputy commissioner of police (traffic), western suburbs, Mumbai said that for the regulation of vehicular traffic during the festival of Chhath Puja there would be no parking on the roads around Juhu. The order will be in place for October 30 from 10:00 am to October 31, 11:00 am.
The order mentioned that there would be no parking on both sides of Juhu road, Juhu Tara Road, Birla Lane and V.M Road.

It said that the Chhath Puja Mahotsav 2022 will be celebrated from 10:00 am on October 30 up to 11: 00 am on October 31 and about 4 to 5 lakh devotees are expected to congregate at Juhu chowpaty for performing Chhath Puja.
It further said, there will be heavy pedestrian crossing as well as movement of auto rickshaws and other vehicles in large numbers on Juhu Tara road, Juhu road, V.M Road and Birla lane. Hence, traffic will be slow on above mentioned roads during these hours. Therefore, people are requested to use S.V. Road and western express highway as alternative route.
