Maharashtra recorded 29 new Covid-19 cases and zero deaths, as per the health bulletin released on Thursday by the state government.
The data stated that 19 patients were discharged on August 24 taking the total recovered patients tally to 80,21,835 till date.
The recovery rate in the state is 98.18 per cent. Presently, Maharashtra has 144 active cases in the state.
"The case fatality rate in the state is 1.81 per cent," the state official said.

"Out of 8,74,71,519 laboratory samples 81,70,546 have tested positive (9.34 per cent) for Covid-19 until today," the govt informed.
"2,166 test were conducted on August 24, 2023 out of this 1,620 test were done in government laboratories, 546 were done in private laboratories," said the release.
At present dominant variant of Covid is Omicron XBB.1.16. Total 1733 cases were found to be infected with this variant. There were 19 deaths reported among the cases of this variant.
Since January 1, 2023, 127 Covid-19 deaths have been recorded. 72.44 per cent of these deaths have occurred in individuals above 60 years of age, 84 per cent of the deceased had comorbidities, and 16 per cent did not have any comorbidity.
India saw a single-day rise of 54 new coronavirus infections while the active caseload stood at 1,484, according to Union Health Ministry data updated on Thursday.
The death toll was recorded at 5,31,926, the data updated at 8 am showed.
India's Covid case tally is 4.49 crore (4,49,96,786).
The number of people who have recuperated from the disease has increased to 4,44,63,376, and the national recovery rate stands at 98.81 per cent, according to the health ministry's website.
