Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport conducted fun passenger engagement activities like kandil and diya making to commemorate the festival of lights, Diwali at Terminal 2. The airport was beautifully lit up and people were seen in a festive spirit. After low-key celebrations of various festivals over the last 18 months due to Covid-19, the city seems to be enjoying the hint of normalcy as Diwali festivities are being celebrated with great fervour across Mumbai.

Recently, Mumbaikars were also seen thronging markets and shops for Diwali and with many public places opening up, it has put a smile on people's faces.

For two days in a row, On November 1 and 2, Mumbai reported less than 300 cases and the test positivity rate (TPR) has also come down. However, the state govt has reiterated that people should not let their guard down and maintain all the social distancing protocols to avoid the third wave of Covid-19.
