The India Meteorological Department has predicted a drop in temperature in Mumbai in the next two days.
On Thursday, Santacruz and Colaba observatories have recorded maximum temperature less than 30 degree Celsius.
Right ahead of the onset of the new year, Mumbai warmed up with maximum temperature going up to 33.3 degree Celcius. However, on Thursday Colaba and Santacruz observatory recorded maximum temperatures of 28.6 and 29.5 degree respectively.
IMD said this dip in temperature could be because of the induced cyclonic circulation over southeast Rajasthan which will attract moisture from the sea.
