The Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL) on Sunday announced a drop in the prices of domestic Piped Natural Gas (PNG) and Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) effective Sunday midnight.
The revised MRP of CNG will be R76.00/Kg and Domestic PNG R47.00/SCM (Standard Cubic Metres) effective from midnight of October 1, 2023/morning of October 2, 2023.
MGL's CNG now offers attractive savings of more than 50 per cent compared to petrol and almost 20 per cent compared to diesel at current price levels in Mumbai.
MGL's Domestic PNG at current MRP is cheaper than Domestic LPG.

"The MGL is pleased to announce a reduction in CNG price by R3/Kg and Domestic PNG (DPNG) by R2/ SCM in and around Mumbai. MGL welcomes the reduction in price of domestically produced High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) Natural Gas by Government Natural Gas. This reduction will further promote usage of Natural Gas in general and will contribute to increase in consumption of natural gas in the domestic and transportation segment in particular," a spokesperson said.
