A fire broke out in a factory manufacturing Ayurvedic powder in Thane in Maharashtra in the early hours of Sunday, a civic official said, reported news agency PTI.
The fire at the factory manufacturing Ayurvedic powder in Thane's Pokhran Road Number 1 area, which started at 4:10 am, caused significant damage to the machinery and stock, though no one was hurt, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane Municipal Corporation's regional disaster management cell, reported PTI.
"The blaze was put out at 5:40 am. The cause of the fire is being probed," he added, reported PTI.
In another incident, a fire broke out in the duct of a high rise in Dombivali in Thane district on Saturday, though no one was injured in the incident, a civic official said, reported PTI.

The blaze in the 18-storey building with 108 flats in Khoni village started at 1:30pm and was doused an hour later after two fire engines were deployed, Thane Municipal Corporation regional disaster management cell chief Yasin Tadvi told PTI.
"The fire started in the duct and spread from the ground floor to the top floor. Plastic fitments were gutted. No one was injured in the incident. The cause of the fire is being probed," Tadvi said, reported PTI.
Other officials said people staying in the high rise managed to come down safely amid the fire, which was confined to one side of the structure.
Meanwhile, a timber mart and three commercial units were gutted in a fire in Maharashtra's Thane city in the early hours of Friday, and no casualties were reported in the incident, an official said, reported PTI.
The blaze erupted in the Mumbra area of the city around 5 am, following which the fire brigade and the regional disaster management cell (RDMC) were pressed into service, said Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC), reported PTI.
The fire destroyed a timber mart, four huts, 15 two-wheelers in a spare parts shop and two commercial units dealing in scrap materials, he said, reported PTI.
The blaze was brought under control in an hour, and the cooling operations were completed by 8.30 am, the official said, adding that the cause and source of the fire were yet to be ascertained.
