The Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Ministry of the Maharashtra government has announced to launch an initiative, under which it will use artificial intelligence to design and write resumes of one lakh job seekers, which will help them in getting employment. The initiative is the brainchild of minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, the state government said in a statement.
Recognizing the common challenge faced by job seekers, where promising opportunities are missed due to subpar resumes, Minister Lodha's initiative seeks to address this hurdle by providing digital resume assistance through Artificial Intelligence. The state government anticipates that this move will not only streamline the job application process but also equip youth with quality resumes crucial for securing employment.
"Even though the job seekers get good employment opportunities, many times they face failure at the first step due to lack of quality resume. To solve this problem, the minister has decided to provide digital resumes to the youth with the help of artificial intelligence," the government statement said.
The process is designed to be user-friendly, allowing lakhs of youths in the state to receive high-quality, tailor-made resumes within minutes. Job seekers can simply send a message with "Hi" to 8655826684 on WhatsApp and respond to a series of simple questions to generate their resumes.

As part of the initiative, the state government plans to organize 280 job fairs, facilitating opportunities for job seekers. Recognizing that participation in job fairs often falls short of yielding favorable outcomes due to the absence of well-crafted resumes, the government aims to bridge this gap through the AI-driven resume service.
Minister Lodha envisions the digitally created resumes as a key tool for facilitating suitable employment for Maharashtra's youth. With a commitment to extend this service to over one lakh individuals, the initiative aligns with the government's broader objective of empowering the state's youth by enhancing their employability.
To solve this problem, minister Lodha has decided to make available good quality resumes to the youth of Maharashtra through artificial intelligence, it said. "The resume created digitally will be useful for providing suitable employment to the youth of Maharashtra. Under this initiative, more than one lakh youth will be able to get this service," the statement said. (With inputs from PTI)
