In a tragic incident, a girl was severely assaulted with a pipe wrench on her head and chest by a man, reportedly known to her, in Vasai on Tuesday morning.
The girl, dressed in ethnic attire, was seen lying motionless in the middle of the road. The man, reportedly her boyfriend, held a wrench in his hand and was heard shouting, "Kyun kiya, kyun kiya," in the middle of the road in Vasai East.
Later, he attacked the motionless girl with the wrench before throwing it onto the road.
The identities of both individuals were not immediately known, but the horrific incident was captured by a passer-by. None of the bystanders dared to intervene.

She was lying motionless in the pool of blood, and it is suspected that the girl died on the spot. Police had not yet arrived at the scene.
