"The stoppage led to crowds gathering at shops to buy small gas cylinders. Restaurants, which saw unprecedented crowds for breakfast, could not cater to them due to the gas supply issue and were forced to down shutters for some time," a local resident said. "Janmashtami plans went for a toss due to the incident. There has been no gas supply since morning. As we never keep a backup, there were problems. We could not even make tea in the morning," Ankit Shah, a Mulund resident, said.
