The Vasai Government Railway Police have arrested a man for kissing his girlfriend at the railway station, abusing and spitting on a cop after being reprimanded. As per police sources, after being reprimanded for his actions, the accused abused the constable Deepak Lokhande and then spat at him.
On Tuesday, while Lokhande was on night patrolling duty at platform number 2, he saw a couple sitting on the bench and kissing. He asked them to stop and get out of the station premises. However, when he returned to the spot after 15 minutes, Lokhande was informed by a passenger about a couple kissing. The constable rushed to the spot, during which, woman managed to escape.
On questioning, the man, identified as Kuldeep Tiwary, argued that he was kissing his girlfriend and not his wife. Later, when the constable asked him to accompany him to the police station, the man refused. Constable then dragged the man to Vasai railway police station and arrested him.
Lokhande said, "Instead of stopping the nuisance act, the man asked me for my monthly pay. He told me he earned R1.5 lakh in a month and started to abuse me. He also nabbed my collar in public and spat on me. I had to register a case and arrest him."
