As Ganeshotsav 2021 comes to an end, moderate to intense spells of rains were observed in isolated areas in Mumbai and adjoining areas of Thane and Kalyan.
Head of SID at the Climate Research and Services Pune, KS Hosalikar said, Moderate to intense spells were observed in Mumbai mostly over central and city side in last three hours. He further added that Mumbai radar indicate moderate to intense clouds over city, Kalyan and Raigad side too.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its Sunday forecast had predicted moderate to intense spells of rain in the city and suburbs.

Further, the official twitter handle of BEST informed that buses on two routes have been diverted on Monday due to waterlogging in Thane.
Mumbaikars in different parts of the city have been observing thundershowers from the wee hours of Monday. Many took to twitter to share early morning rain visuals.
